This church is famed throughout Greece for its miraculous icon ”Our Lady the Prevenzana”. The icon dates from 14th Century and was discovered by the Venetians at the bottom of the sea. After its restoration, they kindly presented it to the church as a gift, where it is cherished by both Catholics and Orthodox alike, as the Virgin Mary is always ready to listen to your prayers.
