We just wanted to write and say a huge Thanks for our wedding in June.
Organising a wedding is hard enough at the best of time, organising one in Greece would have been impossible without you.
 
We know how tough it was to arrange the traditional Greek wedding we wanted with only one of us being Greek, but thanks to your hard work we got exactly what we wanted. 
 
The church you suggested at Aghia Barbara was amazing, never before have we seen a church built into a mountain, and it was the perfect setting for the ceremony, and the Greek priests certainly added hugely to the whole occasion..!
 
Thalasomilos Taverna for the reception was also a perfect choice, and we really cannot recommend this taverna highly enough.
The food was some of the best we tasted on the island, and we would suggest anyone visiting Kefalonia eats here at least once.  Along with the food, George the owner and the picture perfect water-wheel setting by the sea, what more could you need for a Greek wedding reception.
 
The Greek band were fantastic, great music and you and the singer getting the guests included in the dancing and singing was great fun.  Topping the night off with the DJ, who played a brilliant range of music to get everyone up and dancing made the evening perfect.
 
Thanks also for the cake, that was simply the best thing I have ever tasted..!
 
All in all we couldn't have wished for it to have gone any smoother.  Everything, the church, taverna, food, entertainment, all perfect.
Both ourselves and all our guests had a great time, and when we reflected on it the next day, we concluded we would only have changed one thing - have the bus to take people home at the end of the night come a couple of hours later as everyone was having so much fun..!
 
Your efforts and work in making sure our big day went so smoothly and entirely to plan are greatly appreciated, and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend anyone wishing to get married abroad head to Kefalonia for one of your perfect Kefalonian Weddings!

"The best wedding we have ever been to" was what everyone was saying after our fabulous day.  Thank you so much making our day so special, everything went perfectly.  You made getting married abroad so easy and stress free.  The ceremony on the beach was so pretty and the little extras like the ribbons and flowers that you put in place were lovely.  We had a wonderful reception and loved the greek dancing, and smashing the plates was great fun!  The day went so quickly and as David said "Can we do it all again tomorrow!".
 
Thank you again for everything that you did, you truely made our day very special.

We just wanted to say a big thank you. Words can not express how good our special day was and what fantastic job you did everything was perfect. We were both very nervous about getting married abroad especially in the weeks building up to the big day, but through e-mails and the odd phone call you assured us everything was fine and all going to plan. When we did meet you at the airport and  heard those words your wedding is all sorted just enjoy your holiday and chill out, it felt brilliant and that's what we did had really good chilled out week.
 
As for the day itself everything was to good too be true: Neil's photo's are brilliant we've got some really good pictures dotted around the house, the food was gorgeous and the cake was, as Jen said, was out of this world! The food service was good,
the band were really good fun and got everybody up singing and dancing and set the night off brilliantly. The DJ was good playing a good mix of songs everybody knew and kept everyone dancing into the night.
 
So overall a big big thank you - everyone of our guest's commented on what a really good job you did and how it  was one of the best weddings they had ever been to and how lovely the day was, it was just perfect thank you so much.

Thank you for all you did for us on our Wedding on 18th June 2010.  You made all the arrangements so easy and stress free, all we had to do was to enjoy the day.  The ceremony venue was lovely, the sun shone, it was the 'perfect day'.  Everyone who has seen the beautiful photographs you arranged said it looks like we are on a film set!

Thank you so much for everything you did for us. The weather turned out perfectly! (even though we were a bit worried when it started raining in the morning!) the sun was shining and it was lovely and hot!

The day couldn't have gone any better it was everything that we wished for. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

I just wanted to say again a huge thank you for arranging Laura and Ryan's Wedding at Villa Loukia on Kefalonia on July 1st 2010. You were outstanding! You made their day so much less stressful! My only regret is that I didn't contact you with regards to supplying the wedding favours, having had several disappointments (in items not looking like they did in the picture!) buying them on the internet and carrying them to Greece!

To Donna

Well what can we say?

From the moment we arrived in Kefalonia a year before our wedding, you made the planning stress free and fun. We already had some ideas for our ceremony and reception from looking at your fantastic web site and decided on the Gentilini Winery and Thalasomilos.

You worked so hard to give us the best day of our lives which was even more perfect than we imagined. The winery looked beautiful and was a fantastic setting, it was lovely to get married outside in the sunshine.

Thalasomilos was perfect for us as we wanted a traditional taverna which was not surrounded by other bars and restaurants, it has the most beautiful views. George and his staff were amazing,they were so friendly and looked after us so well. The food was fantastic and there was so much of it, our guests definitely did not go hungry!

We must not forget to mention the greek band that played at our reception, they created a wonderful atmosphere and had everyone up dancing and singing.

We decided to book the coach to pick up all our friends and family from their hotels to take them to the ceremony, then on to the reception, it then returned to take them all home at the end of the night. We had 46 guests who all thought this was a wonderful idea as they did not have to worry about finding the venues and getting home, they could just relax and enjoy the day.

Amanda- A great hairdresser and a lovely lady who makes you feel so relaxed 
Katerina the make up lady- also very lovely and makes sure you look perfect for those photos!

But the biggest Thank You goes to you, Donna. You are a very special lady and made our wedding day and experience of Kefalonia truly magical.

Donna,

Just to say the biggest Thank You for all of your help with our Wedding plans and preparation. We had the most amazing time in Kefalonia, and I know our friends and family loved it also, we really couldn't have done it without you.

You reassured me in the run up and were so quick to get back to my ever growing list of questions, however I needn't have worried, everything was just how we imagined it. The food at Katavothres, along with the views and ambience made it the best day of our lives! Neil's pictures are great, everyone has commented on them. We loved the Rolls Royce, it was so exciting having everyone waving and clapping as we drove past. I would thoroughly recommend anyone to come to Kefalonia for their special day and would do it all again in a heartbeat if we could.

The lovely Donna organised all the wedding plans for our wedding day in Kefalonia in May 2010. Donna has been fantastic in organising our special day exactly the way we dreamed of. The preparation and the day ran so smoothly from start to finish, we were amazed at the organisation and preparation that went into the day. The Elios Aposolata Resort was a perfect and beautiful venue that suited our needs and all the staff were more than helpful.

Hi Donna,

Firstly thank you very much for our fabulous wedding.  We absoloutely loved it and so did our guests.  My advice to any other Kefalonian Brides would be don't stress or panic.  Donna has a very calming nature and nothing seems to phase her. Despite living in Greece and having a laid back manner Donna still maintains a professional and organised approach to wedding co-ordination.  Anything that needs sorting will get sorted if Donna has anything to do with it and she clearly has a good reputation on the island.  We had 58 guests coming to our wedding and I had been stressing a little in the UK as I wanted to ensure everyone had a good time.  Once we landed at the airport in Kefalonia and were greeted by Donna I knew that everything was going to be brilliant.  I must also mention the hairdresser, Kay, who was brilliant - just a quick chat a few days before the ceremony and she knew exactly what would look best and suit my hair.  We are also really pleased with our photographs and have Neil (supplied via Donna) to thank for these. 
 
We were married at the Apostolata chapel and had our reception at their rooftop restaurant.  The guests thought the setting was perfect and many commented on how the food at the reception was outstanding.  We stayed at the Apostolata for a fortnight and were treated like royalty.  The hotel staff were friendly, our suite was amazing and we wouldn't hesitate in recommending it (or visiting again one day!).
 
The only suggestion I would make for any other brides having a ceremony and reception at the Apostolata would be to bear in mind that there are no toilets near the chapel so dont allocate too much time for drinks here after your ceremony.  I would also suggest that during the reception you request they open the bar upstairs and have guests go to that bar rather than have the waiting staff run up and downstairs for the drinks orders. This will also ensure that guests have access to alternative drinks other than the wine or champagne on the tables. 
 
I can appreciate that there is a lot to think about when planning a wedding abroad and I worked through my own little plan which I shared with Donna, this included my notes on the following which I thought may be useful for other brides planning their weddings:

• Final numbers (along with any child ages)
• Before the ceremony do you need to deliver any welcome letters to your guests letting them know times etc.
• Rough timetable on the day (what time guests to meet, ceremony time, drinks, reception)
• Flowers (posies and button holes for who)
• Photographs - are there any particular shots you would like taken
• Table plan (and are you bringing any table decs with you)
• Presents for the bridal party
• Favours (e.g. lottery tickets)

Overall a fantastic day, full of memories we will treasure  thanks to Donna, the Apostolata and the island of Kefalonia.
