You may already know of the amazing underground river that flows from one side of the island to the other, visiting Melisani lake on the way. Well, it starts its journey here. The name “Thalasomilos” comes from “Thalassa” – the sea, and “Milos” - a mill, and that is exactly what Thalasomilos is: a watermill driven by the sea, which flows in, drives the waterwheel round and then continues on its incredible journey through the the maze of underground rivers, until it finally emerges on the East coast of Kefalonia.
George and his staff have tables set right next to the sea in a small garden area, for intimate lunch buffets or romantic evening receptions. Whether you are a small group or a bigger party, Thalasomilos has all the charm you require for a perfect Kefalonian memory.
